In practice, the optimum dosage seems to vary significantly between different plants and cement types. Factors such as clinker grindability, cement fineness, mill ventilation, separator efficiency, cement temperature, gypsum content, and the type of grinding aid can all affect the final result. I would like to hear from engineers and plant operators with practical experience: 1. Which factors have the greatest influence on the optimum grinding aid dosage? 2. How do you normally determine or adjust the dosage during plant trials? 3. How does the optimum dosage change when switching between OPC, slag cement, or other blended cements? 4. Have you experienced cases where increasing grinding aid dosage did not improve mill output or even affected cement performance?
