Marginalist Journal 1:8-16. 2026The fact that politics determines the economy implies that economic production cannot exist if individuals are not organized as a society. However, for society to exist, it needs an authority to organize and direct it–that is, to govern it. This means that society is nothing other than the political organization of individuals. But the state is not the only possible form of government; a non-state or libertarian government is also feasible. In this sense, it is argued that libertarian capitalism is a form of political organization that is neither minarchist nor anarchist, but a government that is established from the free association of individuals, without coercion. Finally, it is argued that the state is the negation of private property by monopolizing absolute ownership of land, and every individual living within the borders of its territory is merely a tenant without the right to absolute ownership.
