Research from the Song Lab, published in Neuron, and recently featured in national media, shows that a short-term high-fat diet disrupts memory processing by inducing hyperactivity in hippocampal neurons.

Dr. Robb successfully defended his PhD thesis, "Dynamic Regulation of Macropinocytosis Following RAS Pathway Inhibition in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma" under the direction of Dr. Kirsten Bryant.

Dr. Pratt succesfully defended his PhD thesis, "Molecular Programming of CD8 T cells in Infection and Cancer" under the mentorship of Dr. Justin Milner.

The study found that the vitamin D analog paricalcitol may help weaken the protective environment surrounding pancreatic tumors, potentially improving the effectiveness of chemotherapy.

The award recognizes her exceptional work in showing the contribution of DVL1 in the transcription of genes involved in various cellular functions, including those that drive triple-negative breast tumorigenesis and modulation of the tumor microenvironment.

Dr. Hazelton successfully defended his PhD thesis, “Engineering Probiotic Yeast for Targeted Oral Protein Delivery in IBD,” under the guidance of Dr. Juliane Nguyen!

The article, “The Effect of Case-Based Instruction on Physician Assistant Pharmacology Education," was published in Cureus Journal of Medical Science, a Springer-Nature journal.
